The Expendables, Ballyhoo!, & Kash'd Out @ Baltimore Soundstage 3/6/19

The Expendables finally made their way through Maryland 3/6/19, playing at Baltimore Soundstage along with hometown favorite Ballyhoo!, and Florida natives Kash'd Out. Amplified hosted the show and performed between sets.

Hometown band Joint Operation opened up the night and got the crowd movin' with their powerful funky reggae-rock sound. Amplified took the stage next. His debut album "Not Quite Their Yet" just dropped 3/3 and he got the crowd hyped with his quick and witty raps. Check out his song "Happy Is".

Out of Orlando, Florida Kash'd Out took the stage next. Ever since their debut album "The Hookup" in 2017 this band has been on a roll; touring nationally and playing at large festivals like Reggae Rise Up. They kicked off their set with their newest single "Good at Gettin' By". Their music instantly had the crowd dancing and singing along. Even if you've never heard these guys you will be singing along and have their tunes stuck in your head.

Being a hometown show for Ballyhoo; the fans anxiously waited for their performace. Everyone immediately started screaming and jumping up and down as they took the stage and played their song "I don't Wanna Go" off their newest album "Detonate". All the songs on their new album really add a whole new level of energy to their shows. An awesome surprise happened in the middle of their set as Howi brought up a lady named Izzie. Noone quite knew what was happening at first but quickly realized she was about to propose to her girlfriend on stage! The crowd erupted in a cheer as she said yes and soon Ballyhoo began playing "Rocochet" off their 2011 album "Daydreams" and dedicated the song to the couple. Check out the video below! Congrats to Izzie and Jessica!

Ballyhoo went on to kill the rest of their performance. They ended on their song "Riddled with Bullets" which was a fitting close to their set as everyone sang along to the lyrics "Take me home".

Next up was the legendary The Expendables! Coming on stage to the epic "Darth Vader" theme song and transitioning into their hit song "Sacrifice" the whole crowd erupted and then unanimously started singing along. What was really cool; about 4 or 5 songs in they started taking requests from the crowd. They did this for 4 songs in a row which really drew in the crowd and had everyone trying to yell out their favorite deep tracks. They ended their set with their hit "Bowl for Two". But they kept the crowd on their toes as they blended in Afroman's "Because I Got High" in the middle of the song. Needless to say everyone was singing along and it ended the night with great vibes!
